Coastal Cities Gaudi Challenge Terms & Conditions

General Information

1.1. Organizer: The Coastal Cities Gaudi Design Challenge is organized by Gaudi Asia Pacific, Pusan National University, UNIST University, and Inje University.
1.2. Event: The challenge will take place from January 20 to 22, 2025, combining online and in-person activities.

Eligibility

2.1. Participants must be 18 years or older, or have parental/guardian consent if under 18.
2.2. Participants must be currently enrolled in one of the participating universities (Pusan National University, UNIST University, or Inje University) and reside in South Korea.
2.3. Each team must consist of  a minimum of 4 members.

Registration and Selection Process

3.1. Interested individuals must complete the Initial Registration Form and follow the instructions to fill out the Application Form.
3.2. The deadline for submitting the final application is December 27, 2024, at 11:59 PM (Korean Standard Time).
3.3. Selection results will be notified via email by December 30, 2024.
3.4. Selected participants must confirm their participation by January 3, 2025.

Code of Conduct

4.1. Participants must maintain respectful, inclusive, and professional behavior throughout the event.
4.2. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior towards other participants, mentors, judges, or event staff will not be tolerated.
4.3. Violation of the code of conduct may result in immediate disqualification of the participant or team.

Intellectual Property

5.1. Participants retain ownership of the ideas and projects developed during the challenge.
5.2. By participating, teams grant the organizer a non-exclusive, global, royalty-free license to use their proposals for promotional, educational, or evaluation purposes.
5.3. If a project is selected for implementation, specific agreements will be discussed with the project owners.

Event Rules

6.1. Participants must attend all mandatory activities as outlined in the schedule.
6.2. All deliverables must be submitted before the specified deadlines.
6.3. Plagiarized content or materials that infringe on third-party rights are not permitted in developed projects.
6.4. Teams must adhere to instructions and guidelines provided by organizers and mentors.

Liability Disclaimer

7.1. The organizer will not be responsible for personal injury, loss, or theft of belongings during the in-person event.
7.2. In case of technical issues during online activities, the organizer will make every effort to resolve them but cannot guarantee immediate solutions.
7.3. Participants are fully responsible for their equipment or materials used during the event.

Privacy Policy

8.1. Personal data collected during registration will be used solely for the organization and execution of the event, in accordance with the organizer’s Privacy Policy.
8.2. Participants may request correction, deletion, or access to their personal data by contacting hello@gaudifoundation.org.

Cancellation

9.1. If a participant is unable to attend the event, they must notify the organizer at least 72 hours in advance.
9.2. In case of force majeure, the organizer reserves the right to cancel or modify the event, notifying participants as soon as possible.

Final Provisions

10.1. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of South Korea.
10.2. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of South Korea.
10.3. Participation in the event implies full acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Acceptance: Participants must check the appropriate box in the registration form indicating they have read and agree to these terms.
