Biography

Tukotoshi Torii is a renowned architect and one of the leading specialists in the works of Antoni Gaudí. He lived in Spain for ten years, where he studied Spanish architecture extensively, focusing particularly on Gaudí. His deep knowledge and expertise have led him to author numerous studies on the Catalan architect.

Tukotoshi Torii’s architectural portfolio includes significant projects such as the Tower of Zizou Hatagaya in Tokyo, the Takatsu and Asahiya hotels in Tsukuba (Ibaragi), the Embassy of Taiwan in Tokyo, and several houses on golf courses in Uchihara Ibaragi, Higashi-Chiba in Chiba, and Kouzaki in Chiba. His international projects include the Tong Hwa in Taipei, the Taiwan Cement Corporation Building, and the Cathay Financial Centre Building in Taipei.
