Bea Fröis is an architect specializing in the form-finding methods of Antoni Gaudí. She studied Architecture at the University of Innsbruck, Austria, and graduated with a Master’s thesis titled “Gaudí’s unfinished church in the Colonia Güell – an attempt at a reconstruction according to the urban context.”
Bea Fröis has extensive experience in researching Gaudí’s architectural methods. In 2000, she worked at the construction site of “La Sagrada Familia” in Barcelona, where she studied Gaudí’s form-finding techniques. Utilizing the graphostatik calculations of Domènec Sugrañes i Gras, she researched and reconstructed a possible hanging model of “La Sagrada Familia.” She has since calculated and built several other hanging models for exhibitions in museums in Barcelona and Austria.
